Features Added in 2000
Here are some of the additions to NewLeaf from January 2000:
- Bookmarks can now be set on any text object. They are shown in the jump to page dialogue in the viewer and may be used to build a hierarchical table of contents in a PDF built from a NewLeaf document.
- All menus and captions in the viewer are now translatable using external text files. Viewer settings are saved in the registry.
- Simple tab support is now available in nlFlow. Left and Right tabs may be set in a tabrack, and tab characters embedded in the text stream will jump to the next available tabstop.
- Emphasis styles underline and strikethrough are now available. Underline may also be specified by an HTML tag.
- RTF from the RichEdit control may be printed using nlRichtext (this is not a full RTF parser it is limited to the RTF parameters supported by the RichEdit, or WordPad).
- Cell by cell indenting of any column in a table.
- Optional left argument to List and Spread to set any cell property as a matrix matching the table data.
See the release notes (in the workspace or on the website) for full details.
