Here are some of the additions to NewLeaf from January 2000:

• Bookmarks can now be set on any text object. They are shown in the ‘jump to page’ dialogue in the viewer and may be used to build a hierarchical table of contents in a PDF built from a NewLeaf document.
• All menus and captions in the viewer are now translatable using external text files. Viewer settings are saved in the registry.
• Simple tab support is now available in nlFlow. Left and Right tabs may be set in a tabrack, and tab characters embedded in the text stream will jump to the next available tabstop.
• Emphasis styles ‘underline’ and ‘strikethrough’ are now available. Underline may also be specified by an HTML tag.
• RTF from the RichEdit control may be printed using nlRichtext (this is not a full RTF parser – it is limited to the RTF parameters supported by the RichEdit, or WordPad).
• Cell by cell indenting of any column in a table.
• Optional left argument to List and Spread to set any cell property as a matrix matching the table data.
