nlSwitch – change layout in flight

Sometimes you do not know in advance when to change page layout. For example a function lister (see Lister in the NewLeaf workspace) might start with a contents page and then switch to thumb-indexed pages for the function catalogue. You probably don’t know how many of the initial (plain) pages the contents will take.

To overcome this problem, start with the plain layout, then switch to the headed paper when you need it:

nlUse rpt.plain
nlPlace contents © may be several pages
nlSwitch rpt.flist
... continue

Note that you cannot change page orientation or paper size using Switch.
