Features added during 2001
Some of the new features added to Release 4.6 of RainPro are:
- Time and date styles are now available for x and y axes, allowing easy labelling of time-series data from hourly to annual. The labels may be formatted using the standard Windows picture date and time formatting.
- Keys can be placed inline so a collection of lines will be labelled at the line-ends rather than in a separate legend.
- All boxed items (notes, keys) can be shadowed to improve presentation.
- Low-level text output added to allow simple tabulations to be drawn on top of chart.
- Y-axis labels and keys can now be multiline by splitting with ; as for headings. Whever the ; is used, it can now be escaped with a preceeding \ if you really do want a ; in the text.
- Barcharts can show sector values as well as cumulative values on stacked charts.
- Secondary axes can be placed anywhere, and oriented left or right. You can have as many of these as you like.
- Value style hints and tips automatically generate status-bar hints or pop-up tips for the data values when the chart is exported to VML or SVG.
- Kite charts and trace charts use the category property to generate a set of colours/keys as for other charts.
- Support for adding arbitrary text content, typically used to apply gradient fills and 3D filters to VML and SVG output.
Please check the release notes for other bug-fixes and minor updates.
